Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1/4 item
- cornstarch - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- diced onion - 1/2 c
- diced green pepper - 1/2 c
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- Worcestershire - 1/4 tsp
- deveined, raw shrimp - 3/4 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute celery, onion and green pepper in 1/4 cup margarine until tender. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add shrimp and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water in a cup until all lumps dissolve. Stir into sauce. Cool and stir until mixture thickens. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
