Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • stick margarine - 1/4 item
  • cornstarch - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • diced onion - 1/2 c
  • diced green pepper - 1/2 c
  • diced celery - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes - 1 oz
  • Worcestershire - 1/4 tsp
  • deveined, raw shrimp - 3/4 lb

How to make shrimp creole:

Saute celery, onion and green pepper in 1/4 cup margarine until tender. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add shrimp and cook 4 to 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch with water in a cup until all lumps dissolve. Stir into sauce. Cool and stir until mixture thickens. Serve over rice.
