Ingredients/Components
- flour
- cornstarch
- sugar - 1/2 c
- butter, softened - 1/2 lb
How to make shortbread:
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend well. Knead the dough by hand for a moment and form it into a circle 3/4-inch thick on a nonstick baking sheet. Flute the edge and prick the entire circle with a fork. Bake at 325° for 1/2 hour.Scots simply break up in pieces and serve with tea.
