Shoo-fly pie



  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • water - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • dark Karo syrup - 1/2 c
  • unbaked 10-inch pie crust
  • Then add syrup, water and soda

How to make shoo-fly pie:

Bottom:1 c. brown sugar1/2 c. dark Karo syrup1/2 tsp. baking soda1 egg1 c. water Mix brown sugar and egg together. Then add syrup, water and soda. Pour into unbaked pie shell.Top:1 1/2 c. flour1/4 c. butter1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 c. brown sugar1/4 tsp. salt Combine together to make crumbs. Sprinkle crumbs over the bottom mixture. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes.
