Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- medium onions, sliced - 2 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- freshly ground black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- raw rice - 1/2 c
- can red kidney beans, drained - 1 1/2
- can condensed tomato soup - 1 3/4
- large potatoes, peeled and sliced - 2 item
- ground chuck, crumbled - 1 1
How to make shipwreck stew:
Grease a large heavy casserole. Layer in this order: onions, potatoes, ground chuck, kidney beans, rice and celery. In medium bowl, combine tomato soup, water, salt, chili powder, Worcestershire, black pepper and cayenne. Mix thoroughly and pour ovRecipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Stew.
