Sesame-vegetable lo mein
Ingredients/Components
- carrots, shredded - 2 item
- c broccoli florets - 2 item
- Tbsp water - 1 item
- c soy sauce - 1/4 item
- Tbsp dark sesame oil, divided - 3 item
- 7 oz pkg vermicelli - 1 item
- c fresh sugar snap peas or snow pea pods - 2 item
- large red bell pepper, cut into strips - 1 item
- green onions, diagonally sliced - 4 item
- garlic gloves, pressed - 2 item
- tsp grated fresh ginger - 1 item
- tsp dried crushed red pepper - 1/4 item
- Tbsp toasted sesame seeds optional - 1 item
How to make sesame-vegetable lo mein:
Prepare pasta according to package directions. Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat 1 minute or until hot. Add peas and next 7 ingredients, and stir-fry 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp and tender.Stir in soy sauce and 1 Tbsp water; add pasta, tossing until thoroughly heated. Remove from heat, and toss with remaining 1 Tbsp oil and, if desired, 1 Tbsp sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
