  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • Crisco - 3/4 c
  • eggs, well beaten - 2 item
  • sesame seed - 1 item
  • flour 5 lb - 14 c

How to make sesame seed cookies:

Batches:3 c. Crisco4 c. sugar8 eggs, well beaten14 c. flour (5 lb.)12 tsp. baking powder2 tsp. salt1 1/3 c. milk2 tsp. vanilla sesame seed Mix in bowl, shortening, sugar and then eggs. Add flour, dry ingredients and wet ingredients. Beat for 10 minutes. Bake at 375° to 400° for 12 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. Roll dough in diameter of a clothespin; cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces. Dip cookie in wet seed (rinsed in water). This dough can be used for Christmas cookies.
