Seafoam candy
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- water - 3/4 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1 c
- corn syrup - 3 Tbsp
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 2 item
How to make seafoam candy:
Stir sugars and water in saucepan until well dissolved. Add syrup. Cook to 252°, hard ball stage. Pour slowly over beaten whites. Beat until mixture is light and fluffy and piles without spreading. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Coat with dipping chocolate if desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 60 mins, Candy.
