  • Jeremiah 6:20 sugar - 2 c
  • Amos 4:5 baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Nahum 3:12 figs - 2 c
  • 1 Samuel 14:25 honey - 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Samuel 30:12 raisins - 2 c
  • pinch of Leviticus 2:13 salt
  • 1 Kings 4:22 flour
  • Jeremiah 17:11 eggs - 6 item
  • Numbers 17:8 almonds - 2 c
  • Judges 4:19 last clause milk - 1/2 c
  • Chronicles 9:9 to taste spices - 2 item
  • Judges 5:25 last chance butter - 1/2 c

How to make scripture cake:

Whip Judges, Jeremiah and 1 Samuel until light. Beat the 6 Jeremiah yolks and add to first ingredients. Then, add 1 Kings, Amos, Chronicles and Leviticus, alternately with Judges. Fold in Nahum, Numbers and 1 Samuel 30:12. Add the Jeremiah whites, beaten stiff. Bake 2 hours at 300° in greased 10-inch tube pan.
