- Jeremiah 6:20 sugar - 2 c
- Genesis 24:25 water - 1 c
- Judges 5:25 butter - 1 c
- Isaiah 10:14 eggs - 6 item
- 1 Kings 4:22 flour
- Leviticus 2:13 salt - 1/2 tsp
- 1 Corinthians, all baking powder - 2 tsp
- King 10:2 spices - 1 item
- large spoon Exodus 16:34 honey - 1 item
- 1 Samuel 31:12-13 raisins - 2 c
- Genesis 43:11 almonds - 1 c
How to make scripture cake:
Sift flour with salt, baking powder and spices; set aside. Cream butter with sugar, adding eggs one at a time. Beat thoroughly. Now, add flour mixture, alternating with water, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in honey, raisins and nuts. Turn batter into buttered and floured 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; turn out on a rack to cool completely.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
