- butter, softened - 1 lb
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
How to make scottish shortbread:
Preheat oven to 375°. Cream the soft butter and sugar. Add salt and gradually add flour. Pat down into 2 buttered 8 x 8-inch pans. Prick surface with a fork. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Cool 10 minutes in pan.
