Scottish shortbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- flour
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- firm butter, cut in pieces - 1/2 c
How to make scottish shortbread:
Stir flour, cornstarch and 1/4 cup sugar. Rub in butter with fingers until crumbly and no large particles remain. Place in ungreased 8 or 9-inch round baking pan with a removeable bottom or in a 9-inch spring-form pan. Press firmly into an even layer. Along edges make an impression with a fork. Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes. While hot, cut into wedges. Sprinkle with sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Cookie and brownie.
