Scottish scones
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cream tartar - 1 tsp
How to make scottish scones:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter. Stir in milk to make a soft dough. Divide into 2 round portions. Cut each round into 4 wedges. Place on baking sheet. Brush with milk. Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes. Serve warm with preserves.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Scones.
