Scotch chocolate cake



  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 2 c
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 5 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • flaked coconut - 1 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • Frosting:1 stick butter

How to make scotch chocolate cake:

Frosting:1 stick butter4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts1 c. flaked coconut1 box confectioners sugar Combine flour and sugar in mixing bowl, mixing well. In saucepan, mix margarine, shortening, cocoa and water. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over flour and sugar, mixing gradually. Combine soda and buttermilk and add with other ingredients. Mix and turn into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

Make frosting five minutes before cake is done and pour hot frosting over hot cake. In saucepan, combine first 3 ingredients. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add other ingredients. Spread on hot cake. Delicious.
