Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- buttermilk - 5/6 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
How to make scones:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in 1/2 stick of butter. Beat egg and add buttermilk while stirring. Add egg mixture into your mixed dry ingredients. Roll out dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut circles for scones out of dough. Bake approximately 7 minutes at 400°.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Scones.
