School soup



  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can tomato paste - 1 item
  • peas - 2 c
  • large onion - 1 item
  • large carrots - 3 item
  • large potatoes, peeled and diced - 6 item

How to make school soup:

Put beef in 2 quarts warm water and stir well to separate beef. Salt to taste. Boil on medium heat until beef is well done. Add potatoes, onion, carrots and peas. Stir occasionally to keep beef separated. Add tomato paste and simmer 15 minutes. Serve with toasted cheese sandwiches, cheese toast, cornbread or crackers.
