Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- sliced potatoes - 10 c
How to make scalloped potatoes:
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan; stir in flour and salt. Add milk, stirring constantly, until sauce boils and thickens. Add potatoes and heat, stirring, until it boils again. Turn potatoes into a shallow greased casserole. Spread 1 tablespoon melted butter over top. Place on a rack above the middle of the oven and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Onions or ham may be added.
