Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter - 6 Tbsp
- cream - 2 Tbsp
- cooked chicken - 2 c
- chicken broth - 2 c
- sage - 3/4 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated onion - 1 Tbsp
- day old bread, cubed - 3 c
How to make scalloped chicken casserole:
Put cut up chicken into baking dish. Make a gravy of butter, flour and broth. Toss bread cubes, melted butter, cream, grated onion, sage, salt and pepper together to make a dressing. Spread dressing over the chicken and dribble gravy over the top. Bake 30 minutes in 350° oven.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
