Ingredients/Components
- light cream - 3 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 2/3 c
- finely chopped onion - 3 Tbsp
- cooked, mashed carrots - 4 c
- soda crackers, rolled fine - 16 item
- water in which carrots were cooked
How to make scalloped carrots:
Mix ingredients in order listed. Taste to check salt and pepper. Pour into greased 2-quart casserole. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 25 minutes. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Carrots.
