Scalloped cabbage

- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chopped cabbage - 4 c
How to make scalloped cabbage:
Place cabbage in a greased 2-quart casserole; set aside. In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; cook until bubbly. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened. Fold in cheese. Pour over cabbage. Combine bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle on top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly. Serve immediately. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Side dish, Vegetables.
