Scallop appetizer
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- leaf lettuce - 1 item
- chopped green onions - 1/4 c
- diced celery - 1/3 c
- white pepper - 1/8 tsp
- bay scallops - 1 lb
- Chablis or other dry white wine - 3/4 c
- red pepper strips - 1/2 c
How to make scallop appetizer:
Combine wine and water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Add scallops and cook 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and let cool. Combine scallops and next 5 ingredients in a shallow dish. Cover and chill 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. To serve, line individual scallop shells with leaf lettuce; top with scallop mixture.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Scallops, Shellfish.
