Sausage stuffing
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- sage - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- parsley, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- marjoram - 1/2 tsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, chopped - 1 item
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- bread cubes - 5 6
- or 3 stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
How to make sausage stuffing:
In frying pan put sausage, onions and celery. Saute until sausage is turning brown. (You should have lots of grease; add some butter if you need more.) Add garlic, parsley, mushrooms (save the liquid to put in later), salt, pepper, sage, poultry seasoning and marjoram. Stir everything and continue sauteing until sausage is brown. Add liquid from mushrooms and turn off the heat. Put bread cubes in and mix lightly. There should be enough liquid to moisten the bread.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Stuffings Dressings.
