Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- bulk lean sausage - 3/4 lb
How to make sausage rolls:
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk, then roll dough jelly roll fashion with sausage layer in the middle. Cut in 1/2-inch slices and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Meat, South west pacific.
