Sausage rice casserole
Ingredients/Components
- water - 4 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- stalk celery, chopped - 1 item
- bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- white rice - 1/2 c
- chicken noodle soup - 1 pkg
- small can mushrooms bits and pieces - 1 item
How to make sausage rice casserole:
Saute sausage; remove and drain from grease. Saute pepper, onion and celery, then drain. Cook 1/2 cup of rice in 4 cups of water for 20 minutes.In large casserole dish, all ingredients should be combined and stir together, including dry soup mixture and drained mushrooms.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, covered in foil. Remove foil and bake 30 minutes, uncovered. Serves 8 to 10 people.
