Ingredients/Components

  • stick butter - 1 item
  • Velveeta cheese - 8 oz
  • large onion - 1 item
  • large bell pepper - 1 item
  • can mushroom soup - 1 item
  • jar mushrooms - 1 item
  • crackers - 1 pkg
  • hot sausage - 1 lb
  • yellow rice - 1 pkg
  • jar pimento, diced - 1 item

How to make sausage casserole:

Cook sausage; drain and set aside. Cook yellow rice without butter. Chop onion and pepper. While rice is hot, add cheese. Mix melted butter with cracker crumbs. Layer bottom of 9 x 13-inch dish with crumb mixture. Mix together sausage and remaining ingredients; pour into dish. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes until brown.
