Sausage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- can chicken broth - 1 oz
- chopped carrots - 2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- fresh mushrooms or parsley optional - 1 item
- Owens Country sausage, cooked - 1 lb
How to make sausage casserole:
Spread rice evenly in a lightly greased 3-quart casserole dish. Spoon vegetables over rice. Pour chicken broth and water over vegetables. Add cooked sausage that has been drained. Spoon sausage over vegetables. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and stir well. Cover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
