Sauerkraut salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- white wine vinegar - 1/4 c
- caraway seed - 2 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- chopped pimento - 1/4 c
- fresh sauerkraut, partially drained - 5 c
How to make sauerkraut salad:
Combine sugar, oil and vinegar in a deep bowl and stir until sugar dissolves. Blend in onions, peppers, celery, pimento and caraway seed. Add sauerkraut and toss to coat completely. Refrigerate overnight before serving. This salad keeps well in refrigerator for a month or more.Recipe categories: < 15 mins, Salads, 3 steps or less.
