Ingredients/Components
- sauerkraut - 2 c
- fat - 1/4 c
- water - 1/4 c
- apples, cored and quartered - 3 item
- small onion, sliced - 1 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- caraway seed - 1/2 tsp
- small potatoes, grated - 2 item
How to make sauerkraut and apples:
Combine sauerkraut, fat, water, apples and onion. Cook slowly until apples are tender. Add salt, sugar, caraway seed and potatoes. Continue cooking 5 minutes or until potatoes are done. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Fruit, Apple, Side dish.
