Saucy meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 2/3 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- Heinz 57 - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes, cut into bite size pieces - 1 oz
- hot buttered noodles large egg noodles work best - 1 item
How to make saucy meatballs:
Combine first 5 ingredients. Shape into 20 meatballs. Brown in shortening. Drain. Sprinkle flour over meatballs. Stir gently to coat meatballs.Combine tomatoes, Heinz 57 sauce, sugar and salt. Pour over meatballs. Simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until sauce is desired consistency. Serve over hot buttered noodles.
