Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- water - 2 c
- orange, thinly sliced - 1 item
- lime, thinly sliced - 1 item
- bottle carbonated water - 1 oz
- bottle red or white wine - 1/5 item
How to make sangria:
Combine sugar and water in saucepan. Heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil. Add sliced fruit to hot syrup and marinate at least 4 hours before using. When ready to serve, put about 12 ice cubes in a tall glass pitcher; add marinated fruit (reserving 2 slices of fruit for each glass) and 1/2 cup of the syrup, then add wine and carbonated water. Place 2 slices fruit in each glass and fill glasses from pitcher. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Drinks, Spanish, Portuguese.
