Ingredients/Components

  • chopped nuts - 1/3 c
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1/2 c
  • flaked coconut - 1/3 c
  • packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • baking cocoa - 1/3 c
  • all-purpose flour
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vegetable oil - 2/3 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp

How to make sand castle brownie mix:

In a 1 quart glass jar, layer the first seven ingredients in order listed, packing well between each layer. Cover and store in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.

To prepare brownies: In a bowl, combine eggs, oil, vanilla and the brownie mix; mix well. Spread into a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
