Ingredients/Components
- vinegar
- catsup - 1/4 c
- salt optional - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- onion, chopped - 2 c
- cloves garlic, crushed - 2 item
- green peppers, chopped - 3 4
- hot peppers, chopped - 1 2
- ripe tomatoes - 8 c
- to 10 dashes Snappy Tom or Texas Pete hot sauce depending on degree of spiciness desired - 1 item
How to make salsa:
Bring all ingredients to boil and simmer at least 30 minutes (3 to 4 hours in slow cooker). Process in sterilized pint and 1/2 pint jars in hot water bath for 30 minutes. Yields 8 pints.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Sauces, Salsas.
