Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- bell pepper - 1 item
- large onion - 1 item
- ripe tomatoes - 2 c
- to 5 jalapeno peppers - 2 item
- cloves garlic or powdered - 2 item
- small can tomato sauce low sodium - 1/2 item
How to make salsa:
Chop or blend all vegetables. Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Pour into hot jars. Freeze when cooled. Makes approximately 3 cups.Per 1/4 cup serving: 28 calories, 0 mg cholesterol, 0.25 g fat, 353 mg Na.
