Salmon steaks
Ingredients/Components
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- snipped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- dried basil, crushed - 1/2 tsp
- soy sauce - 1/3 c
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- fresh or frozen salmon steaks 1 inch thick - 4 item
How to make salmon steaks:
Thaw fish, if frozen; place in shallow dish. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over fish. Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours or chill for 4 to 6 hours, turning steaks occasionally. Drain, reserving marinade.Place fish in well-greased wire grill basket or cook directly on grill. Grill over medium hot coals about 8 minutes or until fish is light brown. Baste with marinade and turn. Grill 8 to 10 minutes more or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork.
Meanwhile, heat remaining marinade to boiling. Transfer fish to serving platter; drizzle marinade over steaks. Makes 4 servings.
