Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- soft bread crumbs - 1 c
- scalded milk - 1 c
- can salmon, flaked - 1 oz
- sharp Cheddar cheese, cut in pieces - 1 c
How to make salmon souffle:
Preheat oven to 325°. In saucepan, soak bread in milk; add salt, mustard and cheese. Heat until cheese melts; cool. Add egg yolks and salmon. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into salmon mixture. Pour into 2-quart buttered casserole. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Saltwater fish, Salmon.
