Ingredients/Components

  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • slices bread, torn into pieces - 4 item
  • can salmon, drained and flaked - 1 1/2
  • eggs, separated - 2 item
  • lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
  • finely chopped onion - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika optional - 1 item

How to make salmon puff:

Cut or tear bread into small pieces. Mix bread, milk and margarine; stir in salmon, egg yolks, lemon juice, onion, salt and pepper. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into salmon mixture. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Cook uncovered in 350° oven 1 hour. Makes 6 servings.
