Salmon puff
Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- slices bread, torn into pieces - 4 item
- can salmon, drained and flaked - 1 1/2
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- finely chopped onion - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- paprika optional - 1 item
How to make salmon puff:
Cut or tear bread into small pieces. Mix bread, milk and margarine; stir in salmon, egg yolks, lemon juice, onion, salt and pepper. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into salmon mixture. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with paprika. Cook uncovered in 350° oven 1 hour. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Breakfast, Casseroles.
