Salmon ball
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- dash of hot pepper sauce - 1 item
- chopped tomato - 1 c
- chopped ripe olives - 1 c
- 4 oz - 1 c
- Miracle Whip salad dressing - 1/2 c
- grated onion - 2 tsp
- horseradish - 1 tsp
- liquid smoke - 1/4 tsp
- can refried beans - 1 oz
- can chopped green chilies, drained - 1 oz
- crisply cooked bacon slices, crumbled - 4 item
- avocados, peeled and mashed - 2 item
- dash or 2 hot sauce
- can Red Alaskan salmon, well drained, boned and skinned - 1 1/2
- chopped parsley or chopped pecans or chopped black olives - 1 item
How to make salmon ball:
Combine beans and chili powder; mix well. Combine avocados, salad dressing, bacon, onion and seasonings; mix well. Layer bean mixture, avocado mixture, olives, tomato, chilies and cheese in shallow bowl. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes 6 cups.Note: The avocado mixture can be served alone or as a dip or topping for Mexican dishes.
