Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk
- salt - 2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- catsup - 1/2 c
- hamburger - 2 lb
- grated onion - 2 Tbsp
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- finely rolled cracker crumbs - 2 c
How to make salisbury steak:
Sauce:1 c. milk2 Tbsp. butter1/2 tsp. garlic salt1 can mushroom soup Combine hamburger, crackers crumbs, eggs and catsup. Add to that mixture the onion, nutmeg, salt, Worcestershire sauce, parsley and pepper. When mixed well, mold into thick oblong patties. Place in shallow pan. Pour the sauce over it.Sauce: Heat soup, milk, butter and garlic salt and pour over steaks. Bake at 325° for 40 to 50 minutes or until done. Serves 8.
