Ingredients/Components
- milk - 4 Tbsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- bouillon beef cubes - 2 item
- saltines, crushed - 6 item
How to make salisbury steak:
Put crackers in milk. Combine beef with crackers, salt, pepper, egg and onion. Shape in oval patties and brown in butter. Place in baking pan or dish. Stir 1/4 cup skillet drippings with flour. Dissolve cubes in water and add slowly until mixture thickens. Pour over steak. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 325°.Recipe categories: Time to make, < 30 mins, Oamc/freezer/make ahead.
