Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • horseradish - 1 tsp
  • yellow mustard - 1 tsp

How to make salisbury steak:

Blend beef, egg, onion and bread crumbs. Set aside. Mix soup, mustard, horseradish, salt and pepper. Blend 1/3 soup mixture with meat mixture. Shape into 6 oblong patties. Brown in skillet. Add water to remaining soup mixture. Pour over browned patties. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, meat and gravy in same pot.
