Salisbury steak
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- water
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- onion soup mix - 1 pkg
- ground beef - 1 lb
- bread crumbs - 1/4 c
- can sliced mushrooms or fresh is better - 1 oz
How to make salisbury steak:
Thoroughly mix beef, 1/2 of onion soup mix, bread crumbs, milk and egg. Shape into 4 patties. Brown in skillet in shortening. Add remaining soup mix and flour; gradually stir in water and mushrooms. Cover and cook over low heat 25 minutes, stirring now and then. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Time to make, < 30 mins, Oamc/freezer/make ahead.
