Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- lean ground beef - 2 lb
- onion powder - 1 tsp
- liquid smoke
- mustard seed - 1 tsp
- coarsely ground black pepper - 1 tsp
- Morton Tender Quick salt * - 2 Tbsp
How to make salami:
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly with your hand. Shape into 3 (10-inch) logs. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerator for 24 hours. This step is mandatory.Bake on broiler pan for 1 1/2 hours at 350°. (Remove plastic wrap before baking.) Serve warm or cold with crackers.
