  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • hot water - 1 c
  • cherries

How to make ruth's cherry pudding:

Topping:2 c. cherries1 c. sugar1 c. hot water Cake Batter: Cream together butter, sugar and egg. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan, then pour cherry mixture over cake batter.

Topping: Mix ingredients together well.

Canned cherry pie filling can be used.
