Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- nuts, finely chopped - 3/4 c
- 10x sugar, sifted - 1/2 c
How to make russian teacakes:
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Blend sifted flour and salt; stir in. Add nuts. Chill dough.Heat oven to 400°. Roll cookies into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. While still warm, roll in 10x sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes 4 dozen.
