Rolled fillet of sole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- slices bread, crumbled - 3 item
- fresh sole or orange roughy - 2 lb
How to make rolled fillet of sole:
Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper. Sprinkle cheese and onion on each fillet. Roll, jelly roll style; secure with a toothpick. Dip each roll in egg and water wash. Coat with bread crumbs. Place in a well buttered glass dish (11 x 7-inch). Pour melted butter over top; bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Fish, Saltwater fish, Sole and flounder.
