Ingredients/Components
- small leg of lamb - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- curry powder - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onions, sliced - 2 item
- dry vermouth or white wine - 1/2 c
- whole onions - 3 item
How to make roast leg of lamb:
Sprinkle the lamb with lemon juice. Mix garlic, curry, salt and pepper to paste; rub into lamb (a day before roasting). Put roast in pan; arrange onions around. Roast at 400° for 30 minutes. Drain off fat. Add vermouth (or wine). Reduce heat to 350°. Roast 1 1/2 hours longer, basting frequently.
