Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 qt
  • egg - 1 item
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • rice Carolina - 1/3 c

How to make rice pudding:

Bring milk, salt and rice to a boil, stirring frequently. Lower gas to simmer. Cover and cook 1 hour and 15 minutes. After 1 hour and 10 minutes, slowly pour in sugar (stirring, not to stick to pot), egg at room temperature and, finally, the vanilla. Bring to boil. Remove from heat; sprinkle with cinnamon. Chill.

Hint: Stir frequently to prevent mixture from sticking to pot or burning.

Extra cinnamon can be added to the rice pudding during final phase of preparation according to taste.
