Ingredients/Components
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- raisins - 1/2 c
- can water - 1 item
- rice - 1 c
- can Eagle Brand milk - 1 item
- water to cover rice - 1 item
- can whole milk - 1 item
How to make rice pudding:
Place rice in saucepan and cover with water. Add a dash of salt to rice and let cook until almost dry. Do not drain.Combine the Eagle Brand milk, fill the can with water, add that, fill can with regular whole milk and add this to pan also. Add butter and nutmeg; stir. Cook 45 minutes over very low heat. Stir occasionally to avoid rice scorching.
Add raisins and continue cooking 10 to 15 minutes. Pudding should be creamy and thick. Let cool.
