Rice pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- tomato juice - 3 Tbsp
- rice - 2 c
- beef bouillon cube - 1 item
- jar mushrooms, sliced - 1 item
How to make rice pilaf:
Heat skillet with oil; add rice and chopped onion. Saute until rice starts to brown. Add tomato juice; stir while it is sizzling. Add bouillon cube, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Cover with about 3 cups water. Cover; reduce heat and simmer on low for about 30 minutes. May have to add water. Taste test for doneness.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Long Grain rice.
