Rice custard
Ingredients/Components
- cooked rice - 1 c
- milk, scalded - 1 qt
- white sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- marshmallows - 1/2 c
How to make rice custard:
Beat eggs; add sugar. Let milk cool slightly, then pour egg mixture into milk. Add rice and flavoring. Pour into well buttered casserole (2-quart). Set it in a pan of hot water and bake for 1 hour at 325°. Remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows over top and bake 15 minutes longer.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Rice.
