Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- cooked rice - 3 c
- can chopped green chiles - 1 item
- Monterey Jack cheese - 3/4 lb
How to make rice casserole:
Cut Jack cheese into strips; mix sour cream and chiles. Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Season rice with salt and pepper. Layer rice, sour cream mixture and cheese strips (in that order). Finish with rice on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and allow to melt.Recipe categories: Side dish, Main dish, Casseroles.
